Colorful Wedding at Bella Cosa with Penelope the Frenchie
Caitlin and Sid’s wedding at Bella Cosa in Lake Wales, Florida, was a true celebration of love, life, and everything in between. From the bride’s gown dyed with delicate, colorful flowers to the vibrant florals that filled the venue, every detail felt intentional, beautiful, and full of heart.
But one guest in particular stole the show: their French Bulldog, Penelope.
Penelope is the kind of dog who loves being at the center of things, especially when it comes to her mom and dad. She’s full of energy and charm but, like many pets, found the excitement of the wedding day a little overwhelming at times.
That’s where our team came in. We gave her the perfect balance of love, breaks, and care so she could enjoy every moment without getting overstimulated. Whether it was taking a quiet walk away from the setup or being held for a little comfort, Penelope had everything she needed to feel happy and calm.
She joined Caitlin and Sid for getting-ready photos, walked proudly down the aisle, and was even introduced into the reception to the song “Who Let the Dogs Out.” The crowd went wild, and it was one of those moments that instantly reminded everyone what weddings are all about - joy, laughter, and the bonds that make life meaningful.
The love for Penelope was felt by everyone. Guests traveled from all over the world to celebrate with Caitlin and Sid, and one even told us that knowing they would be meeting Penelope was part of what made the trip so extra special.
We absolutely loved being part of this colorful & authentic day at Bella Cosa, which is one of our favorite pet-friendly wedding venues in Florida. The venue’s breathtaking views, welcoming team, and thoughtful atmosphere make it the perfect place for couples who want to include their pets in their celebration.
While the venue has guest lodging, dogs are not allowed to stay overnight so once Penelope’s part in the wedding day had come to an end, we drove her back to her home & stayed with her overnight. Our overnight pet care service allows couple the peace of mind that their baby will be well taken care of while they enjoy their wedding celebration & into the next morning.
