Why You Should Include Your Pet (and Us!) in Your Engagement Shoot
Your engagement shoot is more than just a chance to grab cute photos - it’s a moment to tell your love story.
And if your pet is a part of that story (as they should be), they deserve to be included. That’s where we come in!
Hiring our pet care team for your engagement session isn’t just a sweet gesture—it’s actually a brilliant strategy.
Here’s why it’s one of the best choices you can make:
It’s a Practice Run for the Big Day
Think of your engagement shoot as a low-pressure rehearsal—for your pet! It’s the perfect opportunity for them to get used to being around the camera, posing with you, and getting comfortable with their handler. When the wedding day rolls around, your pet will be relaxed, confident, and photo-ready.
We recently had the pleasure of working with the sweetest pup named Sutton during her parents' engagement shoot in downtown Sacramento. We explored the Desert Garden and Rose Garden—two absolutely stunning (and pet-friendly!) locations that gave them beautiful backdrops and plenty of space for Sutton to shine. She did amazing, and by the time her big debut on the wedding day rolls around, she’ll already be a pro.
Flexibility in Locations
Certain locations can be limited in where (and if) your pet is allowed. So having us their for engagement shoots offer more freedom—you get to pick fun, meaningful spots that reflect your style as a couple.
In Sutton’s case, after her turn in front of the camera, we took a much-needed break in the car with the A/C blasting (because Sacramento summers are no joke 😅). While her parents wrapped up the shoot at a nearby local establishment, Sutton stayed cool, safe, and comfortable with us. No stress, no overheating, just tail wags and LOTS of cold water.
You Focus on Each Other, We Handle Your Pup
No leash juggling. No missed moments. No bribing your dog with treats mid-pose. We’re there to do all of that (and more), so you can simply focus on each other and enjoy the moment. From water breaks to attention-getting tricks to cleanup—we’ve got it covered.
And the best part?
Clients like Sutton’s family feel the difference.
After their session, her mom shared:
“More people should know about you and your services—you truly put us at ease. Sutton is our world, and you helped make it easier for us being part of it all.”
Cue the happy tears!
You Get Beautiful, Meaningful Photos
These aren’t just engagement photos. These are family photos. Including your pet creates a more authentic reflection of your love story and adds that perfect mix of joy, fun, and fluff.
Ready to include your pet in your engagement shoot?
We’ll make it effortless and memorable from the first click of the camera to the last wag of the tail.
