Cross Creek Ranch Wedding with Hamilton & Sophie - Tampa, FL
We asked this couple about their decision to include their French Bulldog & Mini Schnauzer in their wedding day at Cross Creek Ranch!
Hamilton & Sophie were so happy to be included in their parent’s wedding celebration!
It was clear that Sophie & her mom have a very special bond! It was so sweet to see how happy she was to get kisses from the bride & to be included in the bridesmaids photos, too. She was even a part of the proposal, sporting a brand new collar that posed the question, “Will you marry my daddy?”
Hamilton was a newer addition to the family, but he sure fit right in! He is so loved by both Mom & Dad & their families! He looked incredibly handsome in his bowtie, which matched the groom’s.
After the ceremony & a few more photos, we brought the two pup’s back home & stayed with them overnight so that the newlyweds could enjoy the rest of their wedding night knowing their babies were safe & sound & well taken care of!
This Schnauzer & French Bulldog had the BEST DAY EVER!
We asked the couple a few questions about including their pups in the wedding day:
Why did you include your dogs in your wedding?
We included our dogs because they are truly like our children! We couldn't imagine the day without the both of them there, and we knew we wanted them to be a part of our wedding portraits and videos. There's no Haley and Jimmy without Sophie and Hamilton too!
What is the story of how your dogs became a part of the family?
I grew up with dogs in the house, so moving away to college without a dog felt very weird to me! After 2 years without a pet, I decided to get Sophie. She's provided so much love and support over the years and has seen me through most of my major life milestones, including meeting and falling in love with Jimmy. We got Hamilton together shortly after we got engaged because we both loved French Bulldogs and knew we wanted another dog in the house to keep Sophie company while we work.
Did you incorporate your dogs into any other details on your wedding day?
Our dogs were walked down the aisle by the mother of the bride and father of the groom to start the processional. We also included them in our ‘First Look’ photos and in our bride & groom portraits.
In addition, Sophie played a big role in our engagement! To propose, Jimmy bought a new collar & tag for Sophie that read “Will you marry my daddy?”
All dogs are the best dogs, but tell us something that makes your dogs special?
Our dogs are so special in their own ways! Sophie is so low maintenance and keeps to herself but loves to play with her brother and run around. She also loves to sniff every square inch of grass when we go for walks. While she mostly keeps to herself, if you call her name she'll always come running to cuddle with you! Hamilton is the most energetic dog we've ever had. He loves to play nonstop and communicates using "frenchie talk". When he's tired from playing, he loves to nap on our laps or right up against us on the couch.

Cross Creek Ranch Wedding with Gracie - Dover, FL
Gracie girl was such a good pup on her parent’s wedding day at Cross Creek Ranch! Learn more about how we helped include her in the wedding.
Nicole and Dennon are from Orlando, but planned their special day at the beautiful Cross Creek Ranch.
The property offered so much space to explore with their sweet lab, Gracie, who they couldn’t imagine their wedding without.
Gracie loved greeting both new and old friends before the ceremony, and she took her role very seriously when she walked down the aisle with her dad. The outside chapel presented an airy and earthy feel coupled with tradition. Gracie’s excitement was hard for her to contain, so she watched the ceremony from a distance with her FairyTail friends.
She was happy to join in for pictures after her parents made things official! A huge smile remained on her face as she posed proudly with her flower collar and soaked up all the love from the bridal party.
She gave lots of kisses before heading out, and made sure to check on friends and family to ensure they were enjoying themselves as much as she did.
We are so glad we could help include such a special girl in Dennon and Nicole’s wedding day!
