Tampa Vendors Plan Free Wedding for Couple Affected by COVID-19
We teamed up with a group of incredible Tampa Bay wedding vendors to giveaway an entire wedding experience to a directly couple affected by COVID-19.
Every year, as a part of our mission, we giveaway our wedding pet care services to a couple that rescued their dog.
With the many challenges brought on by a global pandemic, we wanted to make an even bigger difference this year so we teamed up with a group of incredible Tampa Bay wedding vendors to giveaway an entire wedding experience to a couple directly affected by COVID-19.
Like so many other couples, Richard & Stacy’s wedding plans were flipped upside down by the Coronavirus pandemic. They were both full time in the hospitality industry & both lost their jobs when their employers, like many others, were forced to close down in March. Despite the many set backs, including no income in sight, these two stayed positive & made the best of their situations.
What they said got them through all of the trials & tribulations was their undying love for each other.
When we learned they had a dream to include their rescue maltese-mix, Bojangles, in their special day, we knew this was the right couple for our giveaway & that they deserved to have their love celebrated!
Bojangles, also known as Bobo, was such an important part of the wedding.
At 10 years old, he’d been a big part of the family for many years & he was one of just a few guests in attendance on the big day.
He helped walk the Bride down the aisle, gave out lots of love to everyone throughout the day & looked mighty handsome in his tuxedo.
Congratulations to this beautiful family for showing us that no matter what the world has in store, love always finds a way!

Animal Lovers Use Their Wedding to Give Back to Dogs in Need
Rachel & Meredith are huge animal lovers & wanted to find a way to express that on their wedding day. They decided that including their own dog, Penny, in the wedding may not be the best fit so we helped them execute a different, very special idea instead! Our Yappily Ever After program, in partnership with the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, offers a unique experience for animal advocates & lovers on their wedding day.

We brought on a few volunteers & coordinated with the shelter to break 4 dogs out of their cages to set out on the adventure of a lifetime!
We worked with the couple’s vendors to ensure every detail was accounted for & showed up after their ceremony to introduce a little cuddle time to their guests during cocktail hour.
You could see everyone’s eyes light up when they realized that part of their wedding guest experience was to snuggle up on a few adoptable puppies in search of their forever home. We let those that were interested get their pets in & even hold the puppies if they wished.

Our goal with this program is to raise awareness for adoption & to hopefully find these dogs their forever home. More importantly though, these little adventures give the dogs much needed socialization & exposure to new environments. This helps the adoptable dogs go on to lead much healthier & happier lives.
On top of all of that, aside from our small coordination fee, the proceeds from our Yappily Ever After program go entirely to the shelter!

Isla Del Sol Yacht & Country Club Wedding with Monte - St Pete, FL
Monte is a french bulldog with a BIG personality! It was so wonderful including him in his parent’s wedding day & being able to see how truly loved he is, by not only the bride & groom, but by their entire family. We made him a custom tuxedo to match the couple’s wedding colors & it came out absolutely paw-fect.

He looked so incredibly handsome & received a ton of compliments. He had no issue being the center of attention & was happy to walk side-by-side with his dad down the aisle.
He stood up with the bridal party during the entire ceremony, occasionally turning around to take in the beautiful ocean view!
Isla Del Sol is so wonderful to work with & they welcome pets with open arms for wedding celebrations! We were able to spend a little time with the bride & groom while they finished getting ready & had a ton of space to explore & get exercise with Monte throughout the day. He loved walking by the beach & taking breaks inside, on the stairs, so he could get pets from each person as they walked by.

We asked the couple a few questions about including Monte in the wedding day:
Why did you include your dog in your wedding?
Having Monte be part of our wedding was a must have, non-negotiable!! He has been with us our entire relationship and is part of the family. It wouldn’t have felt right without him being there with us on our big day!
What is the story of how your dog became a part of the family?
Even though my apartment at the time didn’t allow dogs (landlord was a softy), I had to have Monte the moment I saw his adorable, cubby puppy self! Fast forward 5 months later when Kevin and I met (also a dog lover) and it’s been the 3 of us ever since!
Did you incorporate your dog into any other details on your wedding day?
We were originally thinking of having a signature cocktail in his honor (Mont-jito anyone?); however, we decided to add the video package last minute as a way to always remember our wedding and how wonderful Monte was as our dog of honor. The video is amazing and we have no regrets!
All dogs are the best dogs, but tell us something that makes your dog special?
Monte is always happy, thrives being the center of attention and loves all people! Once he gets to knows you, the kisses are forever! He’s also extremely lazy (all he wants is belly rubs 24/7) and is always the last one to wake up in the morning, which is amazing on days we sleep in late.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with us about your dog?
It’s Monte’s world and we just live in it!
He’s the boss, and everything revolves around him and what he is doing! We want to rescue a dog soon so Monte can have a brother or sister....we will see how he does after being an only fur child for so long!!
