Two Rescue Dogs, One Unforgettable Wedding - Pittsburgh, PA

At our most recent wedding, we had the absolute honor of being Winnie and Cooper’s plus-ones.

Every pup we accompany is special, but some carry stories that leave an imprint on your heart—and these two were just that.

Both Winnie and Cooper were rescued by Tracy’s Paws, an incredible organization saving dogs along the Texas-Mexico border and finding them homes across the country.

Cooper—the dapper gentleman in the bowtie—once had a scheduled euthanasia date. But thanks to Tracy’s Paws, he was saved just in time and brought to Pittsburgh, where his mom met him off the transport. Winnie—the floral princess—was part of a litter found in Mexico and brought to Virginia, where her mom drove to get her and give her a new beginning.

These two were given second chances—and in return, gave unconditional love.

So of course, when their parents’ wedding day arrived, they were front and center. Because no member of the family was going to be left behind. We picked them up at Grandma’s, where they were a little unsure at first.

We took our time—snacks were shared, toys came out, and slowly but surely, trust began to bloom. Once everyone was comfy, it was off to the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, a gorgeous venue full of sunshine, flowers, and space to explore.

With the warm day, we made sure to take breaks for water, cool air, and snuggles.

Before the ceremony, we stopped by to see Mom and Dad—and even the whole wedding party—who gave them all the love and all the snacks (because they were, of course, being the very best boy and girl).

When it was time for the ceremony, Winnie and Cooper walked down the aisle, FairyTail Pet Care right behind them, moving gently and carefully. Knowing where they came from—how far they’ve come—and watching them walk down that aisle because they’re that loved?

There were tears. Many.

After the vows were said and love was sealed, we got one more visit with Mom and Dad for photos

(and yes, Sydney was the kind of bride who didn’t mind a few paw prints on her dress—our favorite kind. We definitely made sure she was ok with it first).

Nose boops, kisses, and happy chaos ensued before we said our goodbyes. Back home, dinner and potty breaks followed. And these two who were once nervous to meet us? They didn’t want us to leave. We ended the night with belly rubs, soft goodbyes, and full hearts.

It was one of those weddings you leave knowing you were part of something truly special.

To be trusted with two of their most beloved family members—dogs they saved, and who saved them right back—is a gift we’ll never take for granted.

Meet The Owners!

Heather and Bethany are sisters and huge dog lovers. Heather adopted a coonhound mix named Waylon and Bethany adopted two German Shepard mixes named Bear and Marshall as well as a cat named Bowie. Both have been very active in the rescue community over the years and were foster failures.

Heather worked as an OB nurse and Bethany in Quality Assurance after both graduating from Florida State University. When Heather got married in 2019, she hired Fairytail Pet Care in Tampa and knew at the moment the handlers walked into the venue with her beloved pups, that she wanted to be a part of such a brilliant company. There was no one else more perfect to join her in this journey than Bethany, an avid dog lover.

When they aren’t taking dogs to weddings, you  can find them running in half and full marathons, boating,  and being outdoors as much as possible.
