Why Your Dog Shouldn’t Carry the Real Rings & What to Do Instead

When it comes to actually carrying the wedding rings, we have an important recommendation—let’s leave the real rings to the humans!

Including your dog in your wedding day is one of the sweetest ways to make your big day even more special.

And what could be cuter than having your pup serve as the official ring bearer?

It’s a heartwarming moment that’s guaranteed to bring smiles to your guests and make for unforgettable photos.

But when it comes to actually carrying the wedding rings, we have an important recommendation—let’s leave the real rings to the humans!

Why Your Dog Shouldn’t Carry the Real Wedding Rings

We know your pup is the bestest boy/girl, but wedding days are full of excitement, distractions, and new experiences for them. Even the most well-trained dog might get the zoomies or decide to roll in the grass right before walking down the aisle.

The last thing you want is for your rings to go missing in the middle of your ceremony!

That’s why we always recommend using fake rings if your pup will be the designated ring bearer.

At FairyTail Pet Care, we provide our own set of fake rings that your dog can carry for the moment, keeping the real ones safe with the best man, maid of honor, or officiant.

A Fun & Adorable Alternative: A Ring Toy for Your Dog!

Want to take the cuteness up a notch?

Instead of attaching fake rings, consider clipping a plush engagement ring toy to your dog’s collar or harness! Not only does this add a fun and safe touch, but it also makes for the most adorable photos.

We love this plush ring toy that makes it look like your pup is carrying a giant diamond!

Tiny’s Day Off: When the Dogs Took Over at 612 North in St Louis

I—Tiny, the official Cat Executive Officer of FairyTail Pet Care decided it was time for a well-earned day off, so I sent my questionable canine colleagues, Bane and Billie Jean, on a mission—to check out 612 North Event Space in St. Louis.

After a long (and honestly, exhausting) road trip last week,

I—Tiny, the official Cat Executive Officer of FairyTail Pet Care decided it was time for a well-earned day off. 😼

No emails. No meetings. No barking in my ears.

Just me, my sunspot, and a day of deep existential pondering. Bliss.

But of course, business must go on, so I sent my questionable canine colleagues, Bane and Billie Jean, on a mission—to check out 612 North Event Space in St. Louis.

Big mistake? Maybe (because I sure did miss out).

While I was home suffering (with subpar treats, might I add), these two were out living their best lives at what I can only describe as a pet-friendly paradise.

Here’s what they reported back:

  • Super pet-friendly – Apparently, hoomans at this venue love dogs (and probably cats, but did I get to confirm? No. Devastating.).

  • Customizable event packages – Whether you’re ballin’ on a budget or planning a luxurious extravaganza, 612 North makes it work for you. They offer all the options, which means your dream wedding, party, or event is totally possible.

  • Full in-house catering & bar – Bane would not stop talking about this. Something about “why don’t dogs get their own charcuterie boards?” And honestly, he makes a fair point.

  • Two event floorsPerfect for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions of all sizes. Billie Jean zoomed through every space like she was testing a racetrack. If a venue passes the zoomies test, you know it’s spacious!

  • The VIEW. 😻 This one hurt to miss. 612 North is the closest venue to the St. Louis Arch, meaning unobstructed, breathtaking skyline views. Just imagine your event photos—pure magic.

The Aftermath: Tiny’s Regret

So, while Bane and Billie Jean had the time of their lives, I sat at home, realizing I had missed out on an absolute dream venue. 😾

Lesson learned. Next time?

Tiny does the venue tour. The dogs? They stay home.

But if you want to experience 612 North’s pet-friendly magic,

FairyTail Pet Care is ready to help make your event purrfectly stress-free! 😉🐾

Then, there’s the Chihuahua, who might be feeling a little unsure about this whole aisle-walking business.

A bit apprehensive at first, they need some gentle encouragement to make their way forward.

Every dog has their comfort level, and that’s why having a trained pet handler on-site can make all the difference in ensuring they feel safe and supported.

Next, we meet the Goldendoodle, the ultimate goofball who is just living their best life.

Rolling around in the sand and asking every guest for belly rubs, this pup knows how to bring laughter and joy to the ceremony. And who could resist such a lovable, carefree attitude?

Finally, the Labrador Retriever—doing such a great job walking down the aisle, until…

…wait! Is that the ocean? Sorry, but this Lab simply can’t contain their excitement and makes a break for the waves. Classic Lab energy!
