A special pup with a special name. Luke Skybarker was a big part of his parent’s wedding day!
We loved that this couple chose to involve Luke in their First Touch. It made for such a sweet & intimate moment for this little family.
Luke is considered a member of the family by all, so he was a part of some family photos afterwards, as well.
You can seriously just feel the LOVE that these two share for their sweet pup in every single photo!
We asked the Bride a few questions about including Luke in the wedding day:
Why did you include your dogs in your wedding?
We included Luke because he is a part of our family, and we couldn’t possibly imagine our wedding without him!
What is the story of how your dogs became a part of the family?
We both grew up with Shih Tzus in the family and knew when the time was right, we would want a Shih Tzu of our own. Both of our families-of-origin’s pets passed away around the same time three years ago, and we decided at that time to look for a new addition to add to our own family.
We truly believe that Luke found us...crawling to us before he could even walk and giving us all the kisses! It was love at first site.
Did you incorporate your dogs into any other details on your wedding day?
Luke was part of our first touch and the family portraits.
All dogs are the best dogs, but tell us something that makes your dogs special?
Besides being an awesome cuddler and wise beyond his years, Luke has a special name...Luke Skybarker!
He can also dance on command.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with us about your dog?
Luke had the best time in our wedding. He was very obedient, friendly, and photogenic 😉
He also had a great handler with FairyTail Pet Care and was in good hands all day long!
