Pump House B&B Wedding with Banjo - Bloomsburg, PA

To know Banjo, is to love him. From the second we met him, we knew he was a special guy.

We love the thought that went into every detail of this wedding, a lot of which involved Banjo! The “Banjito Mojito” was a huge hit & the giant cut outs of Banjo’s face were a ton of fun.

He was the ring bearer during the ceremony & accompanied the groom down the aisle. He sat quietly for the first part of the ceremony & then joined his parent’s as they shared their vows & first kiss as husband & wife. So precious!

To know Banjo, is to love him. From the second we met him, we knew he was a special guy.

He was completely at ease & just as happy whether we were hanging out with Mom & Dad while they got ready or hiking around the woods & exploring the ceremony site by the creek. He took his sniffs almost as seriously as he took his naps (this guy is a master at creating pillow caves) & would show off his sitting skills for anyone with a treat.

It was obvious how much joy Banjo brings to those around him. We were so happy to be a part of the celebration & grateful to get to know their sweet boy, Banjo!

We asked the Bride a few questions about including Banjo in the wedding day:

Why did you include your dogs in your wedding?

Banjo is a huge part of our lives. We consider him part of the family ( like a kid!) and take him everywhere we can.

We only looked at and chose our venue specifically because of Banjo being allowed there.

What is the story of how your dogs became a part of the family?

One of Bills best memories as a kid was his beagle Molly who passed shortly before we met.

We are both dog lovers and had wanted to rescue a dog for a few years however our landlords at the time had a clause in our lease not allowing dogs. It came to the point where we did not want to wait anymore. I called up the landlords and told them either we are allowed a dog or we are moving. They conceded and I found Banjo through a rescue in NJ who brought him up from Virginia.

This whole thing was kept a surprise from Bill and intended to be a surprise Christmas/Birthday gift. It was November and I couldn't wait til Christmas. I brought him home that day. Bill was sleeping and I opened the door, told him I had a surprise early present and let banjo jump on the bed.

Bill was ecstatic but apprehensive knowing what our lease said! He started crying and asking how we were going to keep him and that’s when I told him about my phone call to the landlords.

It was one of the best days of our lives and we will be forever grateful to have him.

Did you incorporate your dogs into any other details on your wedding day?

Yes! We handed out doggie bags with treats for guests to take home to their pups.

We named a drink after him ( the Banjito Mojito).

We had blown up images of his head as props in our photo booth.

We had him as our ring bearer.

He was introduced with us and walked around throughout the entire day greeting all our guests was in a large part of our wedding photos.

All dogs are the best dogs, but tell us something that makes your dogs special?

Banjo really is the best! We are so lucky to have him in our lives.

He is the quietest beagle you will ever meet. He loves food like other beagles but is very respectful and only begs by staring at you from across the room. Ha! He shows love by leaning up against you and will always accept belly rubs!

When we first got him he was scared of everything but he learned how to love and is only scared of big dogs. He even learned how to kiss which he never did before. He loves to snuggle anytime but at nighttime he knows when its time for bed and go into his own bed when the lights go out and the tv turns off.

He never destroys anything ( as long as he can see out the window to watch for us to come home). He is incredibly calm- so much so, that people often forget he is there. He likes to find the most comfortable spot in the room wherever we go and if we are outside he always has to do a "perimeter sniff" before relaxing.

He always wants to be close to us and if we are in separate rooms he will go back and forth between rooms until we are together . When we have friends over or go to my parents house he tries to sit in one of the chairs around the table and if the seats are all taken he will steal yours when you get up!

We laugh because when he gets in the chair he sits and looks at everyone as if he was part of the conversation. Sometimes he rests his head on the table when he's been sitting there for awhile which is so funny.

I could go on and on because the joy of having banjo in our lives is endless. He makes us incredibly happy!

Is there anything else you’d like to share with us about your dog?

Everyone who meets banjo either tells us a story of a beagle they knew or used to have or makes a comment about wanting to take him home because he's just so sweet!

Stonebridge Weddings & Events at Lange Farm Wedding with Luke - Dade City, FL

A special pup with a special name. Luke Skybarker, was a big part of his parent’s wedding day! We loved that this couple chose to involve Luke in their First Touch. It made for such a sweet & intimate moment for this little family. Luke walked down the aisle like a pro & since he is considered a member of the family by all, he was also a part of some family photos afterwards, as well. You can seriously just feel the LOVE that these two share for their sweet pup in every single photo!

What is the story of how your dogs became a part of the family?

We both grew up with Shih Tzus in the family and knew when the time was right, we would want a Shih Tzu of our own. Both of our families-of-origin’s pets passed away around the same time three years ago, and we decided at that time to look for a new addition to add to our own family.

We truly believe that Luke found us...crawling to us before he could even walk and giving us all the kisses! It was love at first site.

Besides being an awesome cuddler and wise beyond his years, Luke has a special name...Luke Skybarker!

He can also dance on command.

Luke had the best time in our wedding. He was very obedient, friendly, and photogenic 😉

Wishing Well Barn Wedding with Bella, Duke & Bear - Plant City, FL

This bride SURPRISED her groom by having us show up after their ceremony for a celebration with their three mutts!

wedding-party-with-dogs

This was such a special wedding because the Bride decided to surprise her Groom by having us come by for a quick celebration post-ceremony!

We’ll never forget Tim’s face as we we walked up to their ceremony just moments after they said “I Do”. He was slightly confused, a little shocked, but mainly just so happy to see his babies on such a special day!

He wasn’t the only one, though! Stephanie was just as happy to see her pups, but also excited to see her well-kept secret finally unfold. Their family & friends were all smiles, too!

It was such an incredible way to include the pups in the day! We stayed for a few photos & lots of kisses before taking the pups back home to settle in after their big adventure!

We asked the Bride a few questions about including Bella, Duke & Bear in the wedding day:

Why did you include your dogs in your wedding?

My husband and I feel like our dogs are family.

Before we started dating he had Bella and that is truly his first love. Since Bella we have acquired more dogs in our family and just love being puppy parents. Including the dogs in our wedding was a surprise from me to my husband because I knew that it would mean a lot to him.

What is the story of how your dogs became a part of the family?

Our dog Bella was a stray that Tim found before we started dating. Bear is my family's dog which we've had for 8 years now and we watch him a lot so he is half ours too. Our youngest dog Duke we adopted a year before our wedding.

Bella - she is a sweetheart. She rarely ever barks or even demands attention but when you come up to her she is so loving. She is a daddy's girl 100%.

Duke - Duke we adopted as a puppy and he was absolutely Wild! There were many a days where I thought that maybe we took on too much with him but now he is a part of our family. He is always very excited whenever we come home, play with him say his name basically he's always excited all the time. He is also very curious and thinks he is our child so he is constantly following myself or his dad.

Bear - bear is our big boy! He has been my family dog and my husband and I have adopted him as part of our family too!

Our dogs love playing outside, hunting lizards and make us very happy!
